Netflix: The Witcher - HBO: Game of Thrones

The cast for The Witcher’s season 1 was pretty appropriate considering how well the roles were implemented and shown in the show. Many fans are still a little skeptical about Triss, but we’ll have to wait and see how her character unfolds in the future seasons. As for other side characters in The Witcher, we got to see an unnamed assassin aka the mysterious Mage who was hired to kill Queen Kalis accompanied by Yennefer in episode 4.

The Witcher: Richard Brake as the Mysterious Assassin?

Costume Designer for The Witcher, Tim Aslam revealed on his website that Richard Brake who plays the Night King in Game of Thrones seasons 4 and 5 was originally cast as the assassin in the Witcher. But for some reason, Marcin Czarnik ended up playing the role in the show. You can see the images below:

Vladimir Furdik, who also plays the Night King in Game of Thrones seasons 6, 7, and 8, was the fight choreographer in The Witcher’s season 1. So, we had both Night Kings from Game of Thrones working on the show at the same time. Furthermore, The Witcher’s season 2 is releasing in 2021 as pre-production has started, and filming is to start early next month.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the latest release in the Video Game franchise released on May 19, 2015, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The title was released later in 2019 on Nintendo Switch.
