EA Sports UFC series has been one of the dominant fighting games out there. With UFC 3, fans really are waiting for the next installment in the franchise, and it looks like we’re about to get one. According to BurnerIdk on Reddit, EA will be releasing UFC 4 along with the launch of Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X in holiday 2020. Here’s what the Reddit user has to say about this potential upcoming UFC title:

“Featuring an all-new grappling system, dozens of new fighters, and a revamped career mode. The game was originally a fall 2020 title but the situations we are dealing with made it a holiday 2020 title. The focus for this game was content rather than aesthetics(they’ve been trying to make every fighter feel different and unique) as most people wouldn’t complain with how UFC 3 looked, but the addition of Ray Tracing should be a noticeable difference. Stay tuned”

Note: There’s no official confirmation about whether or not UFC 4 is releasing this year as a PS5 and XSX launch title, so take everything with a grain of salt.

It’s been over 2 years since we’ve gotten UFC 3 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Judging from the previous titles’ release dates, every EA Sports UFC title released every two years, with the original UFC releasing in 2014, UFC 2 in 2016, and UFC 3 in 2018.

So, it would make sense if EA wanted to release the new UFC 4 this year as a launch title for next-gen consoles. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
